SPECTATORS

PUBLIX MILE

Race participants, are you looking for a great place for your friends and family to gather and cheer you on during the early miles of the race?

The Publix Mile honors all race participants as they cross Mile 2 on Piedmont Ave and includes a Spectator Cheering Zone in the parking lot of the Publix supermarket at Piedmont and North Ave.  Publix is going all out to provide a great spectator area with free music, noisemakers, sign supplies, coffee, refreshments, and parking.

Driver Alert – Plan to arrive early before the streets close!  Spectators must enter the Publix parking lot no later than 6:45 a.m. before Piedmont and North Ave are entirely closed to traffic.  After the last race participants pass the Publix Spectator Cheering Zone, the surrounding streets will reopen to traffic around 8:05 a.m.  During 6:45 – 8:05 a.m., no non-emergency vehicles will be allowed to drive in or out of the Publix parking lot.
